This was our third visit to make sure we had made the right choice, each time being so lovely with us, no pressure to buy but super helpful when we had questions. We went into Ernies looking for some garden recliners but were enjoying a browse around when we notice the pergola’s they had on display. We have been after something for our patio for a few years now and never seen anything that ticked all the boxes. After looking at the Royce Cube, we immediately fell in love with it. It had pull down side shades, the roof slats could be tilted to allow the sun or block the sun and best of all it had inbuilt LED lighting. Whilst looking around the sales assistant approached us and I thought ohh no here comes the hard sell. I was very impressed with Sally-Anne in the end, she explained the features of the pergola and then spent 15 minutes chatting with my wife about gardening whilst I played around with it. When I asked several questions, she answered them very well and went back to chatting with my wife. After we had finished looking she recommended taking a picture of the prices and what was included so we would have it for reference. We said would take some measurements of our patio area and come back if it fit. On returning home we measured up and were please to find that the 3M x 3M would fit perfectly. We had some saving put aside for a project but we had been looking for something for the patio for a long time so decided to re-direct the funds and buy it, but also thought it would be wise to buy an outdoor suite to go with it. We returned to Ernies and went up to confirm the measurements of the pergola, saying hi again to Sally-Anne on the way through. We made our measurements and the found the outdoor set that would go well with it. We also found some garden recliners that we originally came in to look for. We then went down and got Sally-Anne. We sat down with her and discussed the purchase. She was very helpful and still not pushy, chatting about gardening with the wife again whilst doing the paperwork. There was an option to have a team to install the pergola but it was expensive so we said we would do it on our own and save some money there. She explained the expected delivery, which was about 2 week since it was the weekend before Easter Weekend. We then got a call on the Thursday so inform us that the delivery would come on the Tuesday after Easter. The delivery arrived and the crew dropped the boxes in the area we requested and they then explained which boxes were which and the order we would need to open them to install the pergola. Reading the website it said about 2 hours for the professional team to erect it, but I allowed 4 since we would do it slowly and make sure we got it right. The instructions were easy to follow and though they say 2 people, I would recommend 4 for the part were the top is fitted to the legs. Including the drilling and the installation of the 3 side panels, it took about 4.5 hours for us to complete it but it looks the business. We were advised to ensure the spacing is perfect as per the instructions or the sides can be difficult to open. Measured several times before finally marking and drilling the porcelain patio and securing it. We were very pleased when it all worked correctly. We then unpacked the suite for the patio and set that up. Only the table needed a little constructions. We then collapse onto the sofa’s for the rest of the evening with a hot chocolate. The quality of the furniture and pergola is excellent. The sales service at Ernies was excellent and the deliver crew were also excellent. Good communication throughout and very friendly. I recently purchased a Pagoda (Cube), and from the moment I stepped into Earnies, Bury St Edmunds, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
